Lulabop was founded in 2012 by Mina Yoo, a busy Seattle entrepreneur and mom of two. Formerly a professor of entrepreneurship, Mina decided to put her own instruction into practice soon after two momentous things happened.

The first was the birth of her first child and the subsequent realization that going anywhere with a baby is HARD! Many times when strolling or traveling with her baby and especially when changing him in a public restroom, Mina wished she had an extra hand to hold her (and her baby's) stuff.

The second was her summit of Mt. Rainier, which came only months after the birth of her baby. Logging countless miles and vertical feet during her training sessions with her wet, muddy backpack bouncing on her body, she wished that she could have hung up her backpack on a tree branch during breaks so that its bottom would not get so dirty and wet in the first place. Again, she needed an extra hand to hold her stuff! After searching the market unsuccessfully for something that would work well for either (or even better, both) situations, Mina decided to create her own product line to help families, outdoor enthusiasts, travelers and active people in general worry less about their stuff so they can focus more on what they love to do.
After a year of research and development, she launched the qlipter, a product that early reviewers have called a "superhero gadget," "ingenious" and "infinitely useful for anyone living on earth." Look for more products to come from Lulabop!
