Melissa Wuerl is the Director for Business Development at Spaceflight, Inc., focused on new business development and forming strategic external partnerships across the Systems, Launch and Networks lines of business.

Prior to joining Spaceflight, Melissa served in various business development and program management roles at Lockheed Martin across multiple lines of business. She was the program manager for the Reentry Vehicle 8 Targets program and the Huntsville Integrated Test Center. She was also business development lead for two corporate focus programs, and has held leadership positions on multi-billion dollar new business pursuits, strategic planning and merger/acquisition initiatives.

Melissa holds a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington.​
