Coding with your siblings in python, aka #BloodIsThickerThanUnitTestingIn this talk, Joel and Wendy will discuss data-driven approaches to age-old sibling rivalry issues, such as:
- Using data to understand who is really the favorite
- Analyzing and visualizing the flight paths of stuffed animals on ceiling fans
About the speakers:Joel and Wendy Grus grew up in suburban Atlanta where they learned Turbo Pascal from Coach Edgar in high school computer science. From there they each took different paths but both ended up in the Seattle Python community. Joel has been a data scientist at a few area startups, has written the O’Reilly book ‘Data Science from Scratch’, and is currently a software engineer at Google. Wendy is the co-organizer of Seattle PyLadies, has taught Intro to Python for Seattle GDI, and is currently a data analyst at INRIX.
